Here are my personal faves of the quilts I made in 2023.

This is my version of the Bloem pattern by Libs Elliott. I think I showed in-progress photos but forgot to show it once it was finished!

I made this from a panel I just had to have. I especially enjoyed making the balloons and trees the opposite of each other.

Swedish Sunrise is one of several quilts I’ve made with a sunrise theme. When It’s art we call it “working in series” rather than “perseveration” 😀

Yes, it’s being held out a window by hand, so the picture isn’t as nice as the ones taken by the magazine folks!

The Tilda fabrics are beautiful, but so similar in value that they needed structure when they were all mashed together.
Next post will be the “on to 2024” edition 😀

Oh gosh, you have some beauties there. I can see why these are your favorites. That “Oodalolly” quilt is a pattern huh? Well that surprises me. It looks so improv. In fact, it makes me want to dig into my solid scraps and see what I might come up with. Ah, just another squirrel, when what I should be doing is finishing up my half-dozen WIPs. I fully intend to do that in 2024 – the only “goal” I’m setting for myself. Hope you’re enjoying your first week into the new year!
Half my quilting time is spent on squirrels, and I think that’s OK. I’m doing this for fun.
My favorites are the Balloons, WISH and the owls 😁
Thank you, Linda! And you know they have your lovely quilting 😀
I love your choice of fabric and how you make the pattern your own.
Thanks, Chela!
I agree with your personal favorites 🙂
They are pretty spectacular!
I would say on the first two you “knocked it out of the ballpark”!
Thank you 😀
Great to see your picks of the 2023 crop of your many finishes! The Tilda is so Zippy – your signature black strips taming (making sense of) different sorts of fabrics in this case a lovely collection of medium valued fabrics. So classy!
Thank you, Laura!
Oh this is a fabulous post. Especially love the one with hot air balloons and trees❣️
Thank you 😀
I can see why they are your favourites. And there are so many of them!
Haha. It’s hard to choose 😀
