I’ve been in my “new” studio a couple of years now, so I decided to change out the art quilts I have on the walls. Some of the newly-hung items are from years ago, but I found them in the closet, so here they are.

I did make this one self-portrait quilt in a class years ago, but that’s it for people in my quilts.

I designed and made this little neighborhood after seeing similar projects online. Isn’t the internet a great source of inspiration?

I made this many years ago from a pattern designed with tiny pieces. I don’t think that designer is still publishing patterns.
There isn’t room for all the small quilts to be up at one time, so I probably need to change things up more than every couple of years!

I love your self portrait! Your studio must look like an art gallery with all of these beautiful pieces.
Thank you! My husband is distressed to see my aspirational self-portrait. I had long chestnut colored hair when we married. Yikes!
Fun, fun, fun! How nice that you have a place to hang and rotate through the wall hangings you’ve made. I’ve NEVER made a self-portrait, so I admire that you have! You look very cute, and those glasses are adorable. I want a pair like that! My fav is “Atomic Sunflower” which is so happy and colorful. That one must be a summertime wall quilt… or maybe winter, when you need a little brightness.
Thank you! I was happy to find Atomic Sunflower because it shows that my big stitch quilting isn’t always a disaster 😀
Such fun, finding forgotten pieces! Me it’s usually finding photos of forgotten pieces. My favorite is your version of the neighborhood design; second is the atomic sunflower. It’s also nice to see the variety of styles you have tried.
Indeed, I’ll try almost anything once! Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Love your quilts and they will definitely brighten up the room.
Thanks, Helen!
Those leaves speak to me…what fun to find art in your own collection of tucked away pieces!
Thanks! One of the things I like about natural leaves is that they aren’t perfect 😀
Awesome pieces and I really love Atomic Sunflower!
Thanks for visiting and commenting 😀
Such a wide range of styles and delightful quilts. The self-potrait jumped out at me. Love the hair! And am curious why you chose not to continue stitching faces
Hi Mariss! No reason not to stitch more faces, just on to other things! May go back to it one of these days, but I am a try-something-new junkie.
Never a dull moment in your studio 😉
I really love Atomic Sunflower, and the self-portrait, and the two long pieces with houses and trees!
Thank you! Now that so many friends like it, I may actually enter Atomic Sunflower in a show 😀
Now I want to see all these fabulous pieces in situ. How do you hang them? With Command strips or equivalent? These are all so much fun!
