A “stacked” quilt, with the blocks arranged so they look like they’re overlapped on top of each other, has been on my bucket list for years. So recently when I got a “stack” of Tula Pink10″ squares I decided it was time.
There were even a few blocks left for the back.
I love the lime green thread for the quilting! And just so you know, there are stacked bears on the back π

Of course you had to quilt with lime green!! Tula prints always beg for “big blocks” so you can enjoy the pattern. I love your backing fabric.
Thank you. Yep, gotta love lime green π
Interesting and beautiful
Thanks, Gail. If you want a pattern for something similar, there’s one designed by Kitchen Table Quilting for Moda called “Simply Stacked”. I assume you can find it by asking Ms Google, but if that doesn’t work let me know and I’ll get it to you.
Such a happy quilt! I love the stacked bears!
Thank you π
Love the pun-y use of those bears on the back to support the theme of the front!
I like those bears, too π
This certainly beat a library stack, or even a stack of pancakes, for excitement. It’s a gorgeous quilt. All that piecing must have taken a while.
Deciding on the arrangement took even more time than piecing π
The time taken was worth it — such a pleasing arrangement
I never heard of this type of quilt – yours is awesome! The stacked bears on the back adds quite a bit of whimsy!
I first saw this type quilt in a shop years ago, so it’s been on the list for a while. It was fun once, but I won’t do it again.
