When we were in Newberry, SC, for the Jittery Wings workshop we were “forced” to go to QuiltWerx, the nice quilt shop up the street. Unfortunately they don’t have a real website yet, but if you’re near Newberry they’re worth a visit. This fabric caught my eye:
and then this pattern.
So when I got home, I combined the two with some small cuts of fabric from the stash and made a top.
This goes next to the friend who quilts my donation tops, so you probably won’t see it again. However, the pattern was fun and fast. The instructions were nice and clear. I’ll probably make another, because with the border it makes a good lap size for donation.

I’ve heard of Jittery Wings, and am pretty sure they’re a vendor at QuiltCon. However… I’m still trying not to buy fabric. Don’t know how successful I might be at that this coming week. I’m going on a bus trip that has 34 quilters stopping at three different (new to me) shops. I’ll allow myself black and white stripes (who doesn’t need those?), and a few pieces needed to make shoe bags that will become Christmas gifts. Otherwise, I will hold back. Anyway, I do like that Jittery Wings print that worked up much differently in your quilt top. That’s a cute quilt design. Bless you for giving away yet another quilt.
