Project Planner!

So, here’s the new Quilter’s Project Planner, which I’ve already started using!

I love paper planners generally and was already planning to do a post about this one, then my friends at C&T invited me to take part in this Social Media Tour.  Woo!  Be sure to check at the end of the post for other blogs on the tour and for a chance to win your own copy of the planner.

Yes, it’s formatted to start in January (holiday hint for someone?), but I don’t see why I can’t start in September and go through August of 2021.

Ha! Fixed to suit me!

I’ve decided to use the planner for my own designs.  And yes, I design at least one quilt a month, I just choose not to sell patterns.  You get to see all the quilts here eventually, and some of the patterns are done for Studio Stitch to give away, so there are sources if you want to make my quilts.

The planner includes the kind of features you’d expect but without the bulk of some of the other quilting planners I’ve tried.  There are pages for planning individual projects as well as pages for quiilting goals, etc.

I’ve already started the project for September and filled out part of the pages.  (The quilt shown isn’t the real thing, but my preliminary drawing from EQ8.)

Sorry, but U.S. addresses only.

  1. Thank you so much for your generous offer. I found your site via this giveaway and will be here again (and again!) to explore and share in your creativity. Thanks again!

  2. Love the preview of this planner. I have trouble sticking with planners due to the fact they don’t fit what I want. From the looks of this one, it looks closer to what I am wanting. Would make a great Christmas gift for quilty friends for sure. Thank you for a great giveaway.

  3. Boy, do I need a planner – perhaps it will help me finish UFO’s in this time of Covid! I certainly need something to organized my scattered brain

  4. I like the size of the planner and think it would be a great addition to the one I use for school/work stuff. Maybe I will see about making a cover for it for Christmas gifts for my quilting friends! Also, I really like the pattern you designed…reminds me a bit of a quilt we made at a class at Jerri’s, which I have given away, but I liked it well enough to make another that is similar!

  5. Thanks for the post. I was just looking at an ad for this the other day, and I was wondering if it was worthwhile. I have my stuff scattered everywhere, and this looks like what I might need.

  6. It has been hard for me to use a planner. I make a new design every month in having EQ8. The planner may be great way to keep up with my ideas.

  7. Hey Mary! I can’t seem to get my email to let your blog thru so I have a note on my calendar every Sunday to look at your blog…..I think I get dedication points! LOL! Anyway, like Carrie at Studio Stitch emailed me last week: I miss your seeing your face!”

  8. Oh, how I need this planner. I have notes and paper scraps everywhere, along with works in progress. Mary, I found your blog through this tour and I love your designs. I am subscribing.

  9. I actually just use a bullet journal to plan my quilts and keep track of my WIPs. This looks really interesting tho. Probably would be easier for me than journaling! Thanks for the chance of winning one!

  10. For some reason this planner looks like one I would actually use. I’ve been keeping track of completed projects in a 3-ring binder, but I like the project pages and worksheets and the tracking pages in this one a lot better than the ones I’ve made. 🙂

  11. Wow! Most impressive that you’re already full steam ahead using the planner. Looks like a great way to get organized….quite the challenge for me, but maybe I will turn a new leaf!

  12. I have at least 8 projects in the works/planning stages. This planner would be very helpful to keep me organized. Thanks for the opportunity!

  13. This planner looks great! Love all the sections and the heavy duty spiral binding – very sturdy looking. Thanks for reviewing it.

  14. Planners are great! I’m currently using my first ever planner and love how it documents all the work I’ve done throughout this year. Save them every year and you’ll have the story of your quilting life right at your fingertips!
