This marks the beginning of my sixth year of blogging about quilts. To celebrate, I’ve upgraded to a paid plan so you shouldn’t see ads when you view my blog. I don’t ever take advertising or affiliate links, but I was on the WordPress free plan, so they were allowed to put ads on my pages. Those ads should be eliminated now.

I absolutely love the 2nd quilt you posted today. Especially nice new photo of you! I have really enjoyed our occasional meet-ups across the country. Been thinking about the Asheville show this year.

As far as what I would like to see on your blog — I have no requests or advice for what you do in the future, but I will point out the characteristics I love about your quilting and your blog: 1) I think you are a master at achieving complicated-looking effects from simple techniques, and you always share the secrets of doing so, 2) you also do show intricate quilts, but you make them seem achievable even by less-experienced quilters, 3) to me your writing style is brisk and positive. I think you chose well when you chose Zippy Quilts as your title. I am always glad to see one of your posts in my inbox!

Nice new photo! Photo updates–or lack thereof– are fun. My daughter and I often laugh at the ~20 year gap between formal photos of musical performers and their actual look. 🙂
